Coronavirus or Covid-19 Update
Hello Lions Clubs
Whilst at our hotel we want you to enjoy your time and make use of all of our facilities during your Convention.
You will no doubt be aware of the evolving situation of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 and the flu like illness it can cause.
We want to reassure you that we take infection control very seriously at all times and have implemented additional cleaning and sanitising procedures to protect the health of our guests, visitors and employees.
Should you have any queries or concerns do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you
Kind Regards,
Charlotte

Postponed
Dear Fellow Lions
Having held an online meeting with the Council of Governors last night (15-03-2020), I am sorry to advise you that the decision has been made to postpone the MD105 Convention which was due to take place 1-3 May 2020 in Birmingham.
This decision was not made lightly but in view of the current COVID-19 situation this was considered to be the most sensible course of action.
The Council will be meeting again next weekend to work on alternative proposals for holding a Convention, perhaps online and updates on this will follow.
I would also like to thank all of those Lions at local and MD level who had done so much work to date to ensure that the Convention would have been a success.
The welfare of our Members and Guests has to be our priority.
All payments for events over the weekend which have been made will be refunded in due course but please be patient as this will take some time to be done by your MDHQ Team.
MDHQ also have a good relationship with the hotel and at this stage if you have reserved accommodation then please again contact MDHQ so that they can liaise with the hotel on your behalf.
Take care and please take all necessary steps to ensure your health and well-being.
Regards
Stewart Sherman-Kahn
Council Chairman
